The $200-million Crossroads Development project involving XL Development Group will bring a full service hotel and a 2,000-seat theater to the site presently shared by the Hampton Roads Convention Center, a John Q. Hammons Embassy Suites Hotel and the 84,000-square-foot Hampton Coliseum arena. |

The center offers 35 flexible meeting spaces and delegate-friendly services, like its business center, wireless Internet access and on-site visitor information. Grant-DiVenuti is also excited about the addition of two- to three-hundred convention quality rooms to the site. Embassy Suites Hotel at Hampton Roads Convention Center presents 295 suites connected to the center by covered walkway. |

More than 2,500 hotel rooms presently are located within close proximity of the Hampton Roads Convention Center. A Country Inn & Suites opened in 2006, and two additional hotel properties located within blocks of the center are under construction for completion later this year. Hampton’s landscape metamorphosis is further impacted by commencing construction on a new sports competition complex and the Peninsula Town Center, a new outdoor activity hub featuring shopping and dining unique to the Hampton Roads region.
